Beautiful
We look in the mirror and criticize ourselves
because we don't look like someone else.
But
I have been watching makeup tutorials on Youtube...
Believe me when I tell you that some of the people that you are comparing yourself to
have some imperfections also.
But those people know how to make the best of what they have
and I admire them for that.
When I was young girl "society" wanted women to think that having full lips, hips and big bottoms (which were associated with black women) were not beautiful.
But today there are so many women and some men paying big bucks to have them.
Don't allow society to tell you what you should look like to be beautiful.
YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL just the way you are...
You were not meant to look like anyone else here on this earth.
Even identical twins have some sort of feature that the other doesn't have.
If you aren't happy with yourself, how can you expect someone else to be?
If you don't love yourself.
You are truly cheating this world of getting to know how special you are.
If someone doesn't want to take the time to get to know how special you are, that's their loss.
Your beauty is within.
If you are a beautiful person within it will show on the outside.
Believe me when I tell you that looks will fade as you get older.
But when you are beautiful within, that's a beauty that will last a lifetime.
You don't need others to validate your worth.
God has already done that when He gave us His son to die for our sins.

I Will....
(Repeat this daily...)
If you are waiting on the Lord to do something for you.
Don't give up on Him.
It just may not be your time to receive what you are asking Him for.
While you are waiting, do what you have to do to show Him that you are worthy of it.
Show Him how much you love Him
and your brothers and sisters on this earth.
Serve Him and only Him.
Don't give up.
One more thing, while you are waiting.
Get your Bible and read the book of Job.

Aging Is A Blessing
When I was younger, I didn't think much about getting older;
and I was dumb in thinking that an older person couldn't tell me anything, because I thought I knew everything.
When I turn 40, I started to grieve "the death" of my youth.
(I was so silly back then....LOL)
If I am blessed to be here on October 6, I will be 52 years old.
No, I am not ashame to tell my age and you shouldn't be either.
Let me tell you why.
It's a blessing to open your eyes to a new day.
It's a blessing to still have time to make memories with your family and friends.
But more than anything, it's a blessing to have another day on this earth to get your life together and serve the Lord.
Don't fool yourself into thinking that you can do anything on this earth and still make it into Heaven (but that's another subject for another day).
Aging is something we all have to do.
The only way you can get pass it is dying young and no one wants to do that.
I no longer grieve my youth.
But I would by lying if I said I didn't wish I had the energy (and a few other things) I had back then.
I am at a new stage in my life and I thank God for every day He allows me to have here on this earth.
I try to give an encouraging word to those around me.
I cherish the moments I have with my children.
I don't care what people say or think about me, because they don't have a Heaven or hell to put me in when my life is over.

Welcome
Hello Friend,
Welcome to my "positive" place here on the world wide web.
You can stop by anytime day or night.
You can wear whatever you want
and you can eat whatever you like.
Just don't bring anything negative into this environment.
(meaning nothing vulgar, no cursing, racist comments,
body shaming and etc.)
We have enough of that in this world already.
For those of you who don't know me,
I am a southern lady from Alabama.
I am a Christian.
If you aren't, that's your business.
Just don't try to attack my faith and beliefs.
I am a widow and the mother of three sons and a daughter
(Two of my children are diagnosed with Autism, but that's another subject for another time.
I am not a counselor of any sort.
I am just a southern woman who loves to talk and meet new people.
I am not a counselor of any sort.
I am just a southern woman who loves to talk and meet new people.
You will learn more about me as time goes on.
I hope we all can become the best of friends.
